Developer Information:
American developer, Eric Gyamfi, is a 15 year old tech enthusiast. He was born in Washington, DC but has been raised in Maryland and currently lives in Frederick, Maryland with his twin sister and parent. Mr. Gyamfi considers himself tech savvy and knows more about technology than the average person. He spends most of his time on some type of electronic device and plans to go to a Technical Institute after he graduates from high school.
He came up with the idea when he was with his mother (who loves garage sales) and they passed a garage sale sign. He said to his mother, “Wouldn’t be cool if there was an app to show you where all the garage sales are in the area?!?!” So, he has joined forces with Zapporoo to transform his idea into a marketable platform. Mr. Gyamfi is very passionate about his app and believes it will positively impact everyone who uses it.
How Does it Work?
Mr. Gyamfi has been creating and documenting this concept for quite some time. He has several “mock-up” drawings of this app, which have provided the developer with a sense of how the concept will appear once brought into production. This is beneficial for making any necessary modifications and revisions for improvements; thus promoting a more satisfactory and overall accommodating app. The app has unique features not presently available in the marketplace. Although the programming has not yet been developed and is still in the developmental stages, an explanation of possible operation is as follows: The primary function of the app is to help users find yard and garage sales that are in close proximity. The users having the sales will be able to type in information about their sale and post pictures of what is going to be in the sale.
W-sale is a must for anyone looking to buy or sell items.
What Problem(s) Does it Solve?
The unique features of this app will provide the following benefits for all consumers:
• Helps find yard and garage sale close to them
• Gives mass exposure to users having sales
• Users can post descriptions of their sale and post pictures of items that are for sale
Marketing
Mr. Gyamfi envisions his app appealing to multitudes of consumers who use their “electronic devices” not only for communication but also for innovative solutions. The markets are extensive for an ingenious app like W-Sale; Google Play and iTunes are the most popular app stores in the primary market and are the ideal places to market this app. However, for the Android version of the app there are several new stores popping all over the cyber world such as, AppsLib, Samsung Apps, F-Droid, Slide ME, GetJar, and Amazon App Store for Android. Mr. Gyamfi wishes to leave the market open for subsequent variances and possibilities that could improve the feasibility and marketability of his product.
